Electronic limitation for rail-road excavator
The electronic limitation system for rail-road excavators is an advanced solution designed to secure and optimize the use of construction equipment operating on both rail and road. It enables real-time monitoring of several key parameters, thereby reducing accident risks and ensuring better load and movement management.
This system integrates three types of limitations:
- Load Limitation: By combining pressure measurement and arm outreach, the system automatically stops all movements once the maximum load is reached.
- Height Limitation: Based on angular sensors on the arm, this function blocks upward movement to prevent collisions with overhead infrastructure.
- Rotation Limitation: Using electric stops, it prevents excessive left or right movements, ensuring more controlled operation of the excavator.
The system stands out for its electrical and mechanical redundancy. If the first safety layer fails, a backup takes over instantly. This dual protection covers lifting, load, and rotation functions alike.
